Hello! Welcome to the online home ofCommunity Food Moray We are a charity (No; SCO42997) and social enterprise supporting healthy eating through access to low cost fruit, local vegetables and wholegrains in Moray. Through this we aim to improve healthy eating choices and contribute to community well-being. The ethos of Community Food Moray also focuses on using local produce where possible, reducing food miles and food waste.
Our produce is available in a number of local food outlets and van sales throughout Moray. The base and shop in Mosstodloch is accessible by the local community and anyone traveling along the A96 between Aberdeen and Inverness. CFM was founded in March 2011 by Jo Roberts the Development Manager and Nutritionist, following a pilot year under a parent organisation from Aberdeen. The determination and vision of Jo has enabled CFM to sustain and grow its developments for the social, health and well-being needs of Moray. A group of committed volunteers make up the CFM board. Jo is available to deliver presentations, talks, workshops and food tasting sessions for businesses, organisations, community groups and schools on healthy eating and the services of Community Food Moray. How can you help?
Why?
Every pound spent with us stays in Moray and all profits are reinvested into supporting local communities.
You only need to purchase the amounts you need in order to save money rather than the usual buy a bag of apples and get one free so you are also helping to reduce food waste too.
